A special weather statement in effect for North Shore, as well as for Metro Vancouver communities.
A low-pressure system approaching the Vancouver Island on Wednesday will give widespread rain to the south coast.
The rain begins on Wednesday night and will continue into Thursday evening.
Rainfall amounts may reach 50 mm over Northshore mountains, the Howe Sound region and parts of Metro Vancouver.
