The new entrant to the Rotary Club of West Vancouver Sunrise wants to ensure the club remains wired into the digital world and attract more young people from the community.
Besides being the youngest member of the Rotary Club, Selin Gul is also a social media entrepreneur, and she plans to use her skills to spread the word about the club.
Selin was introduced to Rotary club by her father, Matt Gul. She says she was inspired by the fellowship, the service, integrity, and global initiatives of the club such as the campaign to end polio.
The grade 11 student also launched her social media marketing agency, Canacon, this year, and hopes to use her skills to help spread the word about the club among the local youth. “I got them on Instagram, Twitter, You Tube, and create films for the events that are organised,” she said.
