Staff report
December 15, 2021 12:21pm

Matthew Cheng Architect Inc has applied to develop 24 townhomes in the Norgate area of the District of North Vancouver.

The application proposes 24 stacked townhomes (22 owned and two rentals) in two, three-storey buildings at 1900, 1903, 1950 Sandown Place.

The applicant is providing parking for 41 vehicles in an underground parkade. DNV staff received a detailed application for the townhomes on October 27.

The site is comprised of three single-family lots within the Lions Gate Village Centre Peripheral Area.

Single-family lots are located to the west, northeast, and southeast, and the LARCO mixed-use development is to the southwest.

Retail businesses are located to the south along Capilano Road.

If the project proceeds, it will require an OCP amendment, a rezoning, and a development permit for form and character, water conservation and gas emission reduction.
