67 new COVID cases on North Shore

COVID-19 cases continue to remain below 100 on the North Shore.

The latest weekly update shows North Shore added 67 new cases from October 17 to 23.

Of these, 17 cases were from West Vancouver while 50 cases were reported from North Vancouver.

This week marks the first time in last five weeks when cases have shown a downward trend.

In last week’s update, from October 10 to 16, there were 77 new cases on North Shore.

The week before that, from October 3 to 9, there were 73 cases on North Shore.

VCH continues to deal with a COVID-19 outbreak at the Amica Lions Gate in West Vancouver, and Amica Edgemont.

From Oct. 19-25, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 64.1% of cases, and from Oct. 12-25 they accounted for 74.9% of hospitalizations in BC.
