Speeders are common in West Vancouver – most of them local residents who disobey the speed limit signs.
I grew up in West Vancouver, but some entitled “newcomers” experience impatience as a symptom of wealth. They disgust me and old-time West Vancouver residents.
I feel sorry for all pedestrians in West Vancouver! Impatience on the roads rules.
I, too, have seen and heard drivers who either are unaware or damn well don’t care about how they look or sound as they speed through our streets. They gun their motors snd honk their way through thinking that they will arrive faster than the rest of us.
Traditionally, we are quiet and courteous drivers so I can only assume that these others are late comers.
These people are a nuisance and obviously a hazard on our streets. I realize that we do not have the police manpower to handle this and that is just too bad.
Yeah. Just ask any Retail Clerk working on the 22nd to 25th Marine strip. Always the Audis, BMWs and Mercs thinking they are more important at the Ped. Crosswalks. Always.
It’s constant seeing drivers in their expenses case wheeling in and out to get to be the car in front, and then there’s Dundarave you see cars well over the speed limit racing through the village, many making u-turns at the lights… I personally think the speed limit through the villages, Ambleside and Dundarave should be lowered to 30 km like they have done on Bellevue..,
