70-year-old dies after kayak overturns in Deep Cove

On Saturday, there was a tragic incident in Deep Cove where a kayak overturned, resulting in the death of a 70-year-old man, according to the North Vancouver RCMP, as reported by CityNews.

The kayak was carrying a father and son when it flipped. Staff Sgt. Doug Trousdell mentioned that it was a double kayak, and the father, who was 70, unfortunately passed away. The son was rescued by first responders.

Trousdell added that the BC Coroners’ Service is now handling the matter.
