The survey is available online until November 30.
November 20, 2020 7:57am

The Ambleside Business Improvement Association is encouraging community members to take part in a survey about a future vision for the area.

The survey is available online until November 30.

The “Imagine Ambleside” survey has pictures to give people motivation and an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions on how to revitalize Ambleside.

The “Imagine Ambleside” survey was created to hear from residents, visitors, and others in the community on how they would like to envision Ambleside in the future.

Shannon Walker, the chair of the Ambleside Business Improvement Association said to provide a viable business community, Ambleside needs to attract people to live, work and shop here.

“There needs to be thoughtful development to enable this growth and vibrancy and we hope to be able to use the results of this survey to help make this happen,” Walker said.

The survey aims to engage those that work, live, visit or do business in Ambleside and to open a dialogue where feedback can be collected and summarized.

This feedback will then be presented to District of West Vancouver council and staff so Ambleside area can be revitalized.

Maureen O’Brien, the executive director of ADBIA, said the survey has received ‘incredible’ feedback on the survey so far.

“Most people leave comments like “can we just have it all?”. It says to me that our community is ready for a more vibrant Ambleside that includes boutique shops, a brewery, waterfront activation and so much more.”
