Alert: Fern Street in DNV to close for two days this week

STAFF REPORT
November 23, 2020 11:45am

Traffic will be impacted because of a concrete pour on Fern Street, which will be closed on Nov 26 and 27.

The pour will take place from Fern St which will require that Fern St be closed during the day, between Mountain Hwy and Seylynn Tower driveway.

Further construction on this project will resume in Jan 2021.

Meanwhile, Hunter Street west of Mountain Highway will be closed to the public until February 2021 for ongoing construction and Metro Vancouver’s underground utility works.

Trucks will be entering and exiting site and traffic control personnel will be present to assist.

This single-lane is for a private development at 1502-1546 Oxford Street.

There will also be ongoing intermittent single lane alternating traffic on Oxford St between 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays.

In the Lynn Valley area, trucks will enter and exit the site for construction at 2555 Whitely Crt.

Traffic control personnel will be present to assist with trucking, while large concrete pours continue on site.

For utility work, Capilano Rd between Marine Dr and Welch St will be closed to through traffic until December 13.

However, local access will be maintained, and detour signage will direct traffic to Pemberton Ave during the closure.
