Bosa Development has purchased a 2.14-acre housing site in West Vancouver’s Uplands neighbourhood from British Properties, the developer announced this week. The acquisition marks another major investment in the ongoing development of the Upper Lands area.
According to a press release from British Properties, the Vancouver-based firm plans to build 14 detached homes within Uplands, a 55-acre, architecturally designed neighbourhood built into the hillside, each offering panoramic views of Burrard Inlet.
British Properties said the addition of Bosa Development “adds another respected builder” to the group shaping the growing Uplands community. The company’s nearby Cypress Village project is also underway, featuring future retail, transit connections, amenities, and mixed housing options in the mountainside setting.
“Bosa Development brings a proven commitment to community and a reputation for quality construction,” said Geoff Croll, president of British Properties, in the release. “Their belief in our vision for the Upper Lands – and their readiness to move quickly – will help us deliver a community that serves West Vancouver for generations to come.”
In a separate statement, Nat Bosa, founder of Bosa Development, said the site’s appeal lies in its setting and long-term potential. “From the mountain bike trails I ride, I’ve watched British Properties patiently and purposefully bring their Cypress Village vision to life,” Bosa said. “Even in a challenging market, opportunities like this stand out — a spectacular site for end-users who still believe in owning a home with a yard, close to the city.”
British Properties, which has been developing in West Vancouver for nearly a century, describes its work in the Upper Lands as part of a broader effort to create sustainable neighbourhoods that blend natural landscapes with modern living. Bosa Development, with projects across British Columbia, Washington, and California, now joins that initiative as a key partner in expanding housing options on the North Shore.
