Bowinn Ma invites renters to webinar with Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre

Staff report
October 11, 2022 10:50am

North Vancouver MLA Bowinn Ma is inviting community to an online webinar with the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre (TRAC).

Renters are asked to join the webinar at 6 pm on Monday, October 17. Those who join the webinar with the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre (TRAC) will learn more about the rights and responsibilities as a tenant under BC’s Residential Tenancy Act.

Changes to BC’s Residential Tenancy Act in recent years have greatly improved housing security for renters.

Understanding the law and arbitration processes available to renters is key to maintaining a secure tenancy and good relationship with  landlord. It also helps renters understand what steps to take when issues arise, before they become disruptive conflicts.

TRAC provides advocacy resources and advice to renters and this webinar will therefore be tenant-focused. Landlords seeking advice and advocacy support should contact LandlordBC, which provides a one-stop resource for owning and managing rental housing in BC.
