Two people escaped uninjured after a car plunged into the ocean in an accident on Marine Drive in West Vancouver.

A spokesperson for the West Vancouver Police Department said the crash happened along the 3700 block of Marine Drive in West Vancouver. A vehicle left the road and ended up in the ocean at approximately 12:10 p.m., prompting a swift response from local emergency services.

Upon arrival, officers from the West Vancouver Police Department found that the vehicle had veered off the road and submerged in the ocean. Fortunately, both occupants managed to exit the car safely and did not sustain serious injuries.

They are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage to contact them.  “We are grateful that no one was seriously hurt” said Sgt Chris Bigland “and we thank those who stopped to assist with the rescue efforts and the police investigation”.

The investigation remains active, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Wondering why the Bentley that hit the VW and sent it over the cliff was not even mentioned?! Bentley was headed west and the VW was headed east. Your article makes it sound like the VW just drove through the barrier and off the cliff.
Bentley came to rest against the barrier and it also was badly damaged. Driver left the scene w/o talking to police.
