As the winter chill dissipates and spring begins to unfurl its vibrant colors, North Vancouver transforms into a picturesque landscape adorned with the delicate hues of cherry blossoms. This is undeniably the best time to take a stroll out and enjoy nature’s bounty.

Here are some places to catch this spectacular show on Vancouver’s North Shore.

Waterfront Park

Just a few minute’s stroll from the Lonsdale Quay SeaBus Station, Waterfront Park is a collection of trails that meander through rolling green grass and trees awash in pink. Adding to the beautiful vista are sweeping views of downtown Vancouver just across the inlet.

Ambleside Beach

Immerse yourself in pink against a backdrop of blue along Ambleside Beach next to the ocean. Walk through a charming community of artisans, artists and creators, plus waterfront eateries to indulge in, such as Thierry Ambleside for fresh-made sandwiches and chocolate treats, or OEB Breakfast Co. for all-day award-winning brunch.

Lower Lonsdale

Also known as The Shipyards District, this waterfront neighbourhood is a jewel in the North Shore crown with a bounty of restaurants, shops and outdoor gathering spaces to complement the iconic Quay Market and Food Hall, dotted everywhere with blossoming trees. Fancy more colours? Stay for the incredible sunsets over the pier.

Go to the Vancouver North Shore Tourism Association’s website to learn about more places on the North Shore to enjoy spring cherry blossoms.
