City of North Vancouver to sell city-owned property

The property is located in the Moodyville area of the city

The City of North Vancouver is looking for a realtor to sell a city-owned property.

The City is requesting real estate services with respect to the sale of a 6,800 square feet property Zoned RG-2 and in the Official Community Plan as R3.

The present assessed value is $2,107,000, and the address is 802 East 3rd Street. It is a vacant property that will require road rights of way, which will be secured on title in the city’s favour. According to bid documents, this will allow the buyer to maintain the density of the existing lot, but will reduce their resulting lot area by approximately 1,147 square feet after a building permit has been issued.

The submission deadline is  December 8, and the anticipated selection of proponent is on January 18, 2023.

Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by City staff, which comprises of staff in the Real Estate and Purchasing departments.

    I think it should be converted into a beautiful lushes park to off set the immense development taking place in our city and help us bracethe impact of climate change

    I think that IF changes like this are to happen, any remaining lands owned by municipalities should be leased out rather then sold. To allow future generations the ability to have space to make decisions, and not just provide a winfall for this point in time.
