The City of North Vancouver is looking for three community volunteers to participate on the newly formed Multicultural Community Festival Task Force.
The role of the Task Force will be to investigate and recommend a potential model for an annual, multi-day multicultural festival that aims to celebrate the City Of North Vancouver’s diversity and build inclusion and cultural understanding.
The purpose of the Task Force is to:
- Build understanding, education and awareness of our community’s cultural diversity;
- Celebrate and recognize the contributions of the diverse ethnicities and cultures of our community; and
- Foster the full participation of community members from all cultural backgrounds in community and civic life.

About the Volunteer Opportunity
To be eligible, community volunteers need to meet the following criteria:
- Must be a City resident and/or City business owner
- Must be available for monthly evening meetings for 10-12 months, starting as early as July 2022
- Must be interested in promoting cultural diversity in the City of North Vancouver
- Experience with event organization is an asset
- We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds (including Indigenous, Black, people of colour, LGBT2SQ+, gender diverse, abilities, new immigrants, age, socioeconomic status)
