CNV seeks public input on ‘Complete Communities Assessment’ project

Staff report
January 29, 2025 7:05am

The City of North Vancouver is seeking public input on local services and amenities as part of its Complete Communities Assessment, which begins today. The initiative aims to evaluate how well city neighbourhoods meet the daily needs of residents of all ages and abilities.

The assessment will map available services and amenities while gathering feedback from residents on what they value and where improvements are needed. The results will inform future updates to the City’s Official Community Plan and guide housing and growth strategies over the next two decades.

Residents can participate from January 27 to February 17, 2025, by completing an online survey or attending in-person pop-up events to share their perspectives with city staff. Dates and locations for these events are available on the City’s engagement website. The survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete and will ask people about their experiences, priorities, and preferences about the local neighbourhoods. The survey will be open until midnight on February 17, 2025.

Following the community engagement phase, the City will analyze the findings between spring and summer 2025. A final report with recommendations will be presented to City Council in the fall.
