The City of North Vancouver has selected Nomad Coffee to run the café at the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Center, which is scheduled to open in 2026.
The café will be situated in the atrium of the facility and serves as a central gathering space. Nomad Coffee was chosen through a request for expressions of interest process, with the city citing the company’s environmental practices and community presence as key factors in the decision.

Mayor Linda Buchanan said the café will “enhance the overall visitor experience, provide local job opportunities and champion environmentally responsible practices.”
This will be Nomad Coffee’s second location in North Vancouver. “We are incredibly excited to bring Nomad’s sustainability practices to the Harry Jerome Community Recreation Center and to become an integral part of the community there,” said Annette Kim, the company’s founder.
The new center, located on East 23rd Street between Lonsdale Avenue and St. Georges Avenue, will also feature an NHL-sized arena, aquatic center, community kitchen, multi-use courts, and informal gathering areas.

How many seats in the stands for the NHL sized arena?
