Construction along Esplanade; expect traffic delays

September 23, 2022 3:30pm

Over the next few weeks, there will be some extra construction activity along Esplanade, leading to possible delays.

Beginning Monday, September 26, we’ll be paving Forbes Ave. and Esplanade between 3rd St. and Rogers Ave. There will continue to be one lane open in each direction. Work will occur between 7 am and 8 pm and it is expected to be complete by October 6.

Flag personnel will be on site to help keep traffic moving, but drivers can expect some delays.

New catch basins are also being installed today on Esplanade between Rogers Ave. and Semisch Ave. There will be one lane open in each direction, no dedicated left turn lane at Chesterfield Ave. and no access to northbound Chesterfield Ave. from Esplanade. Work will continue until 5 pm.

Temporary closure of Mahon Dog Park

CNV is also informing  people about a temporary closure of Mahon dog park on Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27. The Mahon Dog Park will be temporarily closed while CNV removes some hazardous tree stumps from the park.

Residents can use this online map to see a list of dog-friendly spaces in the City.
