COVID-19 alert for parent & tot program in West Vancouver

Staff report
February 3, 2021 4:26pm

VCH has issued a COVID-19 exposure warning for participants in the Parent & Tot Program in the district.

The program is held in the Children’s Centre at the West Vancouver Community Centre at 2121 Marine Drive.

Those who participated may have been exposed to COVID-19 on January 26.

However, VCH has stated that exposure does not mean that you are infected with COVID-19.

The West Vancouver Community Centre remains open.

Meanwhile, District of West Vancouver has health protocols in place that include sanitizing program spaces at district facilities after every class.

Out of an abundance of caution, certain areas will undergo an additional enhanced cleaning today and reopen thereafter.

Moving forward, West Van says it may not provide general message to the public about all COVID-19 exposures at district facilities.

The district says it may decide to only contact those directly impacted after considering recommendations from VCH.
