COVID-19 alert issued for Vancouver night club

Staff report
August 12, 2020 4:20pm

Vancouver Coastal Health has issued a new COVID-19 exposure warning for a club in Downtown Vancouver.

The alert has been issued for Levels Night club at 560 Seymour Street for August 4 and August 7. The potential exposure times are from 9 pm to 3 am on both dates.

As a precaution, people who visited these businesses should monitor themselves for 14 days.

There is no known risk to anyone who attended any listed locations outside of the specified dates and times.

If people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities.

If people develop any symptoms of COVID-19, they should seek testing and then self-isolate.

In the last one week, VCH has issued warnings for a foot shop, a lounge, two restaurants, as well as Lions Bay Beach.

Today, BC also announced 85 new cases of the virus, a significant jump in reported cases since April.
