DNV council to consider development permit for six-storey rental building

At a council meeting today, the District of North Vancouver will consider issuing a development permit and rezoning for a six-storey rental building in the Lynn Creek Town Centre.

Pure Living Bond Street has applied to redevelop the 1511-1557 Bond Street site. A rezoning would allow the redevelopment of four single-family lots into a rental building with 59 market rental apartments and six non-market rental apartments. There will be parking for 28 vehicles in an underground parkade. The application was granted second and third reading in July last year.

A 1,800 square feet outdoor amenity area along the property’s south edge is also planned, which will have direct access to the future Green Spine linear park to the east. This outdoor amenity area includes a barbeque, movable tables and chairs, communal garden planters and a variety of landscaping.

According to a staff report, the project will contribute five meters along the east property line towards the “Green Spine” linear park, a pedestrian connection through the Lynn Creek Town Centre with seating areas, water features and landscaping.  To reduce the development’s impact on pedestrian and vehicular movements, the applicant must also provide a Construction Traffic Management Plan to the District of North Vancouver, which will be secured before building permits are issued.
