DNV launched new program to support local businesses

Staff report
April 21, 2025 6:19am

The District of North Vancouver has launched a new outreach program to support local businesses.

The District’s Economic Development office will operate the program. DNV said it aims to keep businesses informed, celebrate successes, make it easier to find help and resources, and share news and data that can help companies grow. The new program also creates new ways for the district to connect with businesses and stay in touch with the community.

“We have created a new Economic Development webpage at Dnv.org that has content relevant to current and new businesses and that will feature regular business updates related to the District’s business advantages, key sectors, economic priorities, projects and business data and resources,” says Neonila Lilova, Business and Economic Development Manager.

“We also launched a new email newsletter for local businesses that highlights local business success stories, District updates for businesses, and other relevant features that we will amplify through social media.”

District of North Vancouver’s Business and Economic Development office is mandated to strategically grow the local business and employment base and support a thriving and diverse local economy.

It can help to

Identify a location for your business in the District

Start, expand, or move your business within the District

Facilitate municipal licenses and permits

Liaise with various District departments and other agencies

Provide property, market, or statistical data and local economy updates

Facilitate local and regional business ecosystem introductions and referrals

The Business and Economic Development team can be contacted at business@dnv.org, or at 604-990-2378.
