District of North Vancouver will close all public playgrounds in district parks, effective immediately.
Signs will be posted at all playgrounds and the areas will be cordoned off. The district will also close sports fields that were earlier scheduled for games and practices.
Sports fields will remain open for casual use, and all public parks and trails in the district remain open.
Public washrooms will also remain open with increased cleaning protocols, district said.
District is also reminding people to maintain social distance of at least one to two metres from others in the parks.
DNV has closed or limited public access to a number of facilities in order to help flatten the curve.
More information on which facilities are open, see the district’s page on COVID-19.
