The District of North Vancouver announced that starting Tuesday, Feb. 17, contractors will begin work on gates and fencing along the east approach structure of the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge. The project is scheduled to run through Friday, Feb. 20.

Visitors planning a trip to Lynn Canyon Park next week should prepare for temporary disruptions as crews undertake essential maintenance work on the popular suspension bridge.

The suspension bridge will be closed for two hours during the mid-day period on Tuesday. The press release did not specify the exact timing of the closure, but advises visitors to plan accordingly.

Throughout the four-day project, parking availability will be reduced as some spaces in both the east and main parking lots will be reserved for contractor vehicles. All visitors are asked to observe posted signage and follow any instructions given by work crews for safety reasons. The maintenance work is part of ongoing efforts to ensure visitor safety and preserve the park’s infrastructure.
