DNV’s 2021 Design Excellence and Heritage Award winners announced

The District of North Vancouver (DNV) honoured recipients of this year’s Heritage Awards and Design Excellence Awards at the April 4 regular Council meeting.

Design Excellence Awards

The Advisory Design Panel (ADP) annually presents awards to encourage excellence in design and recognize projects that significantly contribute to our community’s built environment (e.g. buildings, streets, open spaces, and infrastructure).

Community Heritage Awards

The annual Community Heritage Awards program, coordinated by the Community Heritage Advisory Committee, recognizes and honours special projects and accomplishments in heritage conservation.

There were three Heritage Award recipients this year in the following categories:

Heritage Advocacy

Welcome Figure at L’École Argyle Secondary
Coast Salish Plant Nursery (Wild Bird Trust of BC)

Maintenance and Restoration of Residential/Commercial/Public Use Structures
