The Museum of North Vancouver has an exciting new offering for cinema lovers. MuseumFlix: North Shore Cinema Series will bring locally filmed movies to new audiences with popcorn, a cash bar, trivia, prizes and more.

There will be a free movie night at the Museum of North Vancouver at 115 West Esplanade on the last Thursday of every month from January to May 2023, highlighting feature films and local works filmed all or mostly in North Vancouver.

The series kicks off on Thursday, January 26 with the TV movie Firefighter (1h 40m, TV-PG). Doors open at 5:30 pm, with films running from 6 pm to 90 pm with a short intermission. Cine lovers can also participate in fun film trivia for the potential to win a $25 gift card to the MONOVA Museum Store. While this event is open to all ages, 19 plus and two pieces of ID will be  required for cash/card bar.

Call-out for short films

If you are a North Shore filmmaker and have a short film between 10-30 minutes in length that you would like the museum to feature in our series, we would love to hear from you.

Submit your elevator pitch and film to programs@monova.ca
