BCAA’s Evolve E-Bike Share has announced that it is expanding into Parkgate and Deep Cove through a new partnership with səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).
In a press release issued December 1, Evolve announced the collaboration as part of a broader expansion that adds new e-bike stations along Dollarton Highway and Mount Seymour Parkway. The initiative aims to improve accessibility, strengthen community connections, and support environmentally friendly transportation for residents and visitors alike.
According to BCAA, the expansion includes seven new parking stations located at Rockcliff Road (Parks), Naughton Avenue and Banbury Road, Raeburn Street and Panorama Drive, Parkgate Community Centre, Mount Seymour and Parkgate Avenue, Burr Place and Berkley Road, and Bendale Road and Lytton Street.
Evolve has also introduced a Tsleil-Waututh Nation Benefit Rate, offering Nation Members more than 70 per cent off standard pricing across all service areas. The discount is designed to reduce transportation barriers and encourage active, low-emission commuting.
“This partnership embraces our active transportation goals by encouraging walking and cycling as alternatives to driving,” said Chief Justin George of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation. “The Evolve pilot program will contribute to our efforts to reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen relations with our neighbours, contributing to a healthy and sustainable future.”
Evolve’s Head, Leanne Buhler, said the expansion demonstrates the company’s commitment to inclusive, community-driven mobility. “We’re proud to deepen our North Shore connections through this partnership with the Tsleil-Waututh Nation,” Buhler said. “Our goal is to make active transportation accessible to everyone, while supporting collaboration and sustainability across the region.”
The new e-bike stations on Tsleil-Waututh lands and throughout the District of North Vancouver will allow riders to explore a larger area without relying on cars. Users can access the bikes by downloading the Evo App, registering, and scanning a QR code on the e-bike to unlock and ride.
Evolve currently operates public e-bike and e-scooter share programs across British Columbia, including in Whistler, Squamish, SFU Burnaby, and several Vancouver Island communities.
The expansion marks another step in Evolve’s mission to connect more North Shore neighbourhoods through affordable, sustainable, and locally integrated transportation options
