West Vancouver residents and visitors now have a new way to get around the North Shore, as BCAA’s Evolve E-Bike Share program has officially expanded into the District, adding 16 parking stations to the growing regional network.
The expansion makes West Vancouver the latest municipality to join the North Shore E-Bike Share Program, alongside the City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
E-bikes are currently available at stations in key locations, including Ambleside Park, the West Vancouver Aquatic Centre, and Dundarave. Additional stations and bikes are slated to come online through April 2026. Once fully rolled out, the North Shore network will feature over 300 Evolve E-Bikes across more than 130 parking zones region-wide.
West Vancouver Mayor Mark Sager welcomed the program, calling it a meaningful step toward the District’s broader sustainability goals. “It is a wonderful option that will help connect people to local businesses and other experiences without needing to get into a vehicle,” he said.
The program also supports West Vancouver’s Community Energy and Emissions Plan, which identified bike share as a recommended measure for reducing energy emissions and offering residents alternatives to single-car trips.
Leanne Buhler, Head of Evolve E-Bike & E-Scooter Share, said the team is excited to bring the service to West Van. “We’re proud to continue BCAA’s support for the District of West Vancouver’s leading role in delivering more options beyond personal car travel,” she said.
Riders can check live e-bike availability and locate Evolve Parking Zones through the Evo app, available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. BCAA’s Evo Car Share service is also available in West Vancouver, with dedicated parking at Park Royal Shopping Centre.
