The District of North Vancouver and City of North Vancouver Firefighters Unions have endorsed Bowinn Ma (North Vancouver-Lonsdale) and Susie Chant (North Vancouver-Seymour) for re-election in the 2024 Provincial Election. The unions highlighted the MLAs’ strong advocacy for public safety, including their focus on earthquake and wildfire preparedness, traffic challenges for emergency response, and support for first responders.

Below is the complete statement they sent to media.

“The District of North Vancouver Firefighters Union and the City of North Vancouver Firefighters Union would like to express our support for Bowinn Ma (North Vancouver-Lonsdale) and Susie Chant (North Vancouver-Seymour) in their bids for re-election.

Each Provincial Election, representatives from both Firefighters Unions meet with the candidates running for office in North Vancouver.  We review past and future support for public safety, as well as issues that affect professional firefighters.  For the past four years, MLA Ma and MLA Chant have worked tirelessly for their constituents to make British Columbia a safer place for us all, such as recognizing the importance of earthquake and wildfire preparedness on the North Shore, and the challenges of traffic in the context of emergency response.  They have also been strong voices of support for first responders, such as expanding coverage for work-related cancers and acknowledging mental health injuries as a risk in our work environment.

The DNV and CNV Firefighters Unions are proud to endorse Bowinn Ma and Susie Chant in this 2024 Provincial Election.”

Disgusting! We need to get rid of these absolute socialist ideologs. It’s very sad to see Firefighters being part of the problem. Hopefully, it’s just the mis-informed union heads.

Try and articulate specifics vs the silly name calling.
