North Vancouver is all set to host its first-ever flea market, North Van Flea, on Sunday, March 17, from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The market will be held at 1427 Crown Street, North Vancouver, and promises to be a fun-filled day of treasure hunting, community spirit, and good vibes. The event is open to all, including seasoned collectors, bargain hunters, and those looking for a fun day out. Admission to the event is free, and visitors can explore a diverse array of treasures, from vintage gems to everything in between.

The market is like a garage sale but with a funky twist in the heart of North Vancouver’s brewery district. Visitors can rent a table and showcase their unique finds or come along to browse and soak up the atmosphere. “Spread the word and invite your friends and family to join you for a day of shopping and celebrating the spirit of community,” says Melanie Gagnon, the organiser.

“We have been hosting community events in our wine-making space for 24 years. We don’t just craft wine; we are also all about crafting community! We haven’t decided if we will run this flea market annually but we did have lots of interest. We have hosted a few vintage markets and artisan markets in the past.”

Individuals and hobbyists can contact melanie@corkitwinemaking.com for vendor registration. Each table rental costs $20, and vendors should note that this market is exclusively designed for them to showcase and sell their personal items. However, this is not intended for businesses, marketing affiliates, or commercial enterprises.

“North Van Flea is a celebration of unique, handcrafted, and pre-loved items, fostering a vibrant community of sellers and buyers alike,” says Melanie. For more information and updates, RSVP to the event and follow the North Van Flea page. Mark your calendars, and don’t miss out on the fun.

This is a great idea and sounds like fun however, it is certainly not a first ever flea market in North Vancouver.
