The River Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for North Shore Mountains, Howe Sound, Metro Vancouver, and the Sunshine Coast.
A Flood Watch means that river levels are rising and will approach or may exceed bankfull.
Flooding of areas adjacent to affected rivers may occur.
Please stay clear of the fast-flowing rivers and potentially unstable riverbanks.
The River Forecast Centre continues to monitor the conditions and will provide updates as needed.
A moderate atmospheric river event has resulted in several rainfall and wind warnings for the South Coast of BC.
A significant atmospheric river event continues to bringing copious amounts of rain to the B.C. south coast today.
Heavy rain will continue this morning and ease this afternoon as the system moves inland
