The Rubble Creek trail in Garibaldi Provincial Park is closed due to flooding, washouts and debris.
BC Parks will re-evaluate opening the trail once the debris has settled.
Due to a shortage of services, snow clearing is also unavailable for Diamond Head Road. The road and parking lot will remain unplowed until further notice.
BC Parks is working with the park operator to secure plowing services.
“Please respect parking restrictions outside the park boundary in the Ring Creek area, and be mindful of local residence’s need to access their homes,” says BC Parks.
BC Parks also cautions people to expect winter conditions all across the Garibaldi Provincial Park.
Meanwhile, Elfin Lakes Shelter in the Diamond Head area remains closed until further notice due to the pandemic.
It is unavailable for reservations, though winter camping is still allowed at the Elfin Lakes campground with reservations.
