Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for North Shore.
Heavy rain will begin late Tuesday morning over the North Shore, Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.
The warning doesn’t apply to Vancouver.
Rainfall amounts up to 60 mm are forecast by late Tuesday evening.
An intense front will approach Vancouver Island early Tuesday and cross the Lower Mainland Tuesday night.
This will bring rain and wind for most of Tuesday with the heaviest rain expected in the afternoon and evening.
Rain will end by early Wednesday morning.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
