His experience includes working with owners, engineering consultancies and within management consulting.

Veng leaves his position as Director – Infrastructure Program Management at Translink to head up LEC.

In his new role, Veng will report to the LEC Board, will oversee all aspects of LEC’s operations and will be responsible for the vision, business plan, operating budget and capital budget of the utility as well as contributing to the City’s Climate Action Plan.

Veng will oversee a team of six, responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and administration of LEC’s infrastructure and will act as spokesperson for LEC at local, regional, provincial and national level of government and NGO’s.

Veng begins his new role on November 10, 2020, replacing outgoing Director Ben Themens, who resigned his position earlier this year.
