In addition to celebrating all the new food offerings and experiences at this new Fresh St. Market location, one of its most significant partners, FoodMesh, will be sharing a new milestone in its efforts with Fresh St. Market to rescue and distribute surplus foods to vulnerable people in our communities.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Fresh St. Market’s new store to ensure all of its unsalable food is redistributed to local hunger-relief organizations,” said Jessica Regan, CEO and Co-Founder of FoodMesh. “This partnership is a true testament to Fresh St. Market’s commitment to keeping its unsold food out of waste streams has already helped create 2.3 million meals for people in need since we started working together in April 2020.”

“For people who live on the North Shore they may already be familiar with Fresh St. Market with our very first location having opened in West Vancouver in 2013,” adds Knudsen.  “Similar to our West Vancouver store, this new location also offers a unique market-like experience with the interior of the store reflecting the surrounding community. Customers will have the opportunity to enjoy Garden of Lo Lo (Lower Lonsdale), Shipyards Housewares and the Esplanade Deli.”
