To help manage the increasing number of visitors, BC Parks is continuing the free day-use pass pilot program.
For 2022, three most popular summer destinations – Golden Ears, Joffre Lakes, and select trailheads in Garibaldi Provincial Park will require a free day-use pass.
Starting June 15, the free passes will be available at https://bcparks.ca/reserve/day-use. Passes can be booked starting at 7am PDT, two days before planned visit and will be required at these three parks as of June 17.
Internet connectivity at the park may be limited or unavailable, so please print or screenshot your day-use pass on your mobile device before your visit.
The day-use pass program is run in collaboration with the Discover Parks Ambassadors who provide visitor outreach and education in a number of parks throughout the summer.
They will also be checking day use passes in these three parks.
