A GoFundMe page has been set up for a family whose house was destroyed in a fire at the Capilano 5 reserve.

West Vancouver Fire Rescue responded to the fire on Sunday afternoon that left a family of four without a home. The family’s pet perished in the fire.

The call came around 1:20 pm and firefighters from West Vancouver and North Vancouver fire departments responded with seven trucks to the fire on the Whonoak Road home.

Deborah Baker, a family member, has started a GoFundMe page and is urging the community to help with clothes and money. The family displaced by the fire has been living in a hotel for the past few days.

The GoFundMe page aims to raise $20,000.
