A contractor will be conducting tree work at John Lawson Park on Wednesday, January 26.
Work includes the removal of two hazardous trees and tree pruning to remove dead branches, says the District of West Vancouver.
This work is required to ensure the safety of park visitors and to keep trees healthy.
The section of the trail from the foot of 16th Street to the picnic shelter will be closed while work is underway. There will be no impacts on parking.
Meanwhile, West Vancouver has opened the seawalk, which was closed following the storm surge on January 7. The seawalk is open but the dog walk and piers at Ambleside and Dundrave remain closed.
