Heat warning: Where to stay cool and rehydrate on North Shore

A heat warning is in effect for the North Shore starting today, and the high temperatures are expected to last until Friday or Saturday.

If you need a place to escape the heat, here are places that are open where you can cool down and rehydrate.

District of West Vancouver:

West Vancouver Memorial Library

Monday – Thursday 10am – 8pm

Friday – Sunday 10am – 6pm

West Vancouver Community Centre

Monday – Thursday 6am – 9pm

Friday 6am – 8pm

Saturday 8am – 8pm

Sunday 8am – 4pm

Seniors’ Activity Centre

Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 4pm

Sunday (Closed – take out food service 10am-2pm)

Gleneagles Community Centre

Monday – Thursday 6am – 9pm

Friday 6am – 8pm

Saturday 8am-6pm

Sunday — Closed

Here are the places where you can cool down in the City of North Vancouver.

City of North Vancouver Library

Tuesday 9 am – 9 pm

Wednesday 9 am – 9 pm

Thursday 9 am – 9 pm

Friday 9 am – 5 pm
