BC United has announced James Mitchell as its North Vancouver–Seymour candidate in the upcoming provincial election. A lifelong resident of North Vancouver, Mitchell brings a wealth of community involvement and professional experience to his candidacy.
As Vice Chair of the District of North Vancouver Public Library Board, Mitchell has demonstrated his commitment to community service. According to a press release issued by BC United, his volunteer work extends to various organizations, such as the Rotary Club of North Vancouver, the Seymour Community Association, MONOVA, and several other local not-for-profits focusing on environmental conservation.
Mitchell also has a background in project management, public affairs council, and advocacy in the healthcare sector. He has also provided strategic advice to local and national elected figures on important provincial issues, serving as the British Columbia advisor to the Honourable Erin O’Toole, Leader of the Official Opposition, and advising the Conservative Party of Canada under Prime Minister Stephen Harper on British Columbia-related matters.
