District of West Vancouver is implementing time restrictions on joggers at the Seawalk and the Spirit Trail.
Until further notice, the West Van Seawalk and Spirit Trail can be used by joggers only before 10 am.
Both areas will be reserved for walkers after 10 am every day.
“It’s important that everyone is able to walk safely on the Seawalk and Spirit Trail, and so the district is implementing time restrictions for joggers,” district said.
The change is being implemented to allow everyone to maintain appropriate physical distance. District of West Vancouver has also dropped plans to paint separate lanes on the Seawalk.
The District of West Vancouver is also cancelling the annual Canada Day celebration, and the Harmony Arts Festival, normally held in the first 10 days of August.
The district is also cancelling all summer programs, events and rentals offered through its facilities.
