Lynn Canyon sexual assault: Help North Van RCMP identify this suspect

In an effort to further their investigation, North Vancouver RCMP are releasing images of a suspect in a sexual assault in the Lynn Canyon/Lynn Headwaters area on February 13, 2022.

North Vancouver RCMP had warned the public of a suspicious male who sexually assaulted a woman by groping her on the Varley Trail in Lynn Canyon Park.

“We’ve been unable to identify this suspect, and so we’re now releasing these images to the public in the hope someone recognizes this individual, and can help us put a name to the face,” said Sergeant Peter DeVries of the North Vancouver RCMP.

The suspect is described as:

Black or south Asian male

Medium complexion

25-30 years old

6 ft (183 cm)

170 lbs (77 kg)

Thin build

Light growth mustache and chin hair

He was wearing:

Large, round, silver framed reading glasses

Black Northface hoodie with “Never stop exploring” written on the front

Black athletic pants

Grey high-top sneakers
