Man in serious condition after North Vancouver shooting, police seek dashcam footage

Police are seeking the public’s help after a targeted shooting left one man with serious injury in North Vancouver.

On September 6th, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the 700 block of East 29th Street. Callers reported hearing numerous shots and the sound of a vehicle driving away.

 

Upon arrival, police located a man in his 50s who sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital. The shooting victim, a North Vancouver resident, is in serious but stable condition.

“This unsettling incident appears to be a targeted shooting,” said Cst. Mansoor Sahak, Media Relations Officer for the North Vancouver RCMP. “The active investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by the North Vancouver RCMP Investigative Services Section. There is no threat to public safety.”

Police are asking anyone who has CCTV, dashcam or further information about this incident to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
