A man in medical distress was successfully pulled from the waters off West Vancouver following a swift multi-agency rescue operation, the West Vancouver Police Department announced in a March 3, 2026, press release.

West Vancouver Police, working in close coordination with the Canadian Coast Guard, Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 1, West Vancouver Fire & Rescue, and Emergency Health Services, responded to the incident and brought the man to safety.

Details about how the man ended up in the water and the nature of his medical condition were not disclosed by authorities.

The West Vancouver Police Department recognized the collaborative response in a statement, crediting the teamwork among emergency services as critical to the outcome. “When every second counts, teamwork saves lives,” the department said.
