Due to snowfall and forecasted snow and subzero temperatures this weekend, the Grouse Grind Trail has been closed by Metro Vancouver.
The closure is effective from Saturday, December 12, 7 am.
“For your safety, that of park staff and of first responders, please respect the closure,” said Metro Vancouver.
“Parks staff will reassess trail conditions on Monday and provide an update.”

Meanwhile, backcountry routes are closed at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park.
This applies to routes beyond Norvan Falls (Hanes Valley, Coliseum Mountain and Lynn Lake) as well as routes in the Grouse subalpine north of Dam Mountain and Thunderbird Ridge (e.g. Crown Mountain, Goat Mountain, Little Goat & Goat Ridge).
A portion of Capilano Pacific Trail is also closed to December 16.
A portion of Capilano Pacific Trail from Keith Road to Moyne Drive is closed to December 16 while repairs are made to a section that was affected by a small slide.
