The body of the dog that went missing in Mosquito Creek was found yesterday.
The 8-month-old Labradoodle had gone missing on November 30 at 1:30 pm.
Clover’s body was found close to the spot where she had gone missing, stuck under the falls and between the rocks in the area.
Clover was found by a man who had gone to bathe under the falls that are just above Montroyal Blvd, near the DNV fire station.

“He happened to go into the sections and he noticed something under the rocks, and it was her leg,” said Sharon, the owner of Clover.
An emotional Sharon said even though the family had imagined the worst considering Clover had been missing since November, they somehow still hoped that she was alive.
“We had started getting hopeful, but this is what we had really thought had happened,” she said.
“We searched the area extensively, but she seemed to have been stuck in a spot in a way that wasn’t easy to see or get to.”
Sharon would like to thank the community who went looking for Clover, especially the firefighters from DNV firehall number 3, who helped in the initial search and then helped retrieve the dog’s body.
“I’d be grateful if people can take the missing signs off now. I can’t even look at them,” Sharon said, crying.
“Our family now needs some time to grieve and heal.”

I’m so sorry for your loss. I can imagine the pain you are going through ❤️❤️❤️
So incredibly sorry for your heartbreaking loss….
poor baby.. I hope she is at peace. We looked for her on the Skyline Trial and thought about her several times a day with hopes she would be found in good health. So tragic for the family, my heartfelt condolences go out to them.
I am so sorry for you and your family’s loss. Daisy and I met you and Clover one day on Mosquito Creek trail. Clover was a beautiful pup!! My heart goes out to you. I cannot even imagine how sad this time has been for all of you😢🐶
Truly tragic. Praying for your healing. Clover’s spirit will run with you always.
I am so, so, sorry for your loss.
I thought about her many times during my walks. So sad.
So sorry💞 Our hearts go out to you and the rest of Clover’s family…
Heartbreaking. I live beside mosquito creek and thought about her daily. Remember the joy she brought into your lives 💔
This is a heartbreaking end to
Clover’s story, but I pray you can hold the memories of the many good times with her close, and that you are comforted by knowing she truly felt a lifetime of love with you.
Clover, I do not know you but you will be missed more than anyone can fathom.
That’s why you leash your dog when it isn’t trained and you aren’t responsible enough to make sure it doesn’t run off and drown.
Way to go parents. Please don’t get another dog. It you do adopt one. Cost you less and save a life to make up for the one you have wasted.
Wow. Keep your disgusting and hurtful comments to yourself.
You have no heart. None. I suppose you have never ever made a mistake in your hurtful nasty life.
Be human if you can, and take that post down.
Wow seriously? Not the time and place. They feel bad enough. Your words are truly awful. You are an awful person.
Dear Sharon & Family
This was a tragic and freak accident. Please don’t let this deter you from bringing another pup into your home to love. A new dog will never replace Clover but it will go a long way to help your family to heal.
Sending love and deepest condolences
Colleen H.
Shame on you, Sherry, for your inconsiderate & disrespectful comment. You don’t know the circumstances, so who are you to pass judgement. Have a little compassion & understanding & less hatred & negativity, it does not become you.
