New cooling space available at The Shipyards

A new cooling centre is available at The Shipyards in the City of North Vancouver.

The Pipe Shop at 115 Victory Ship Way, is open as a temporary cooling space during this extreme heat event.

It will be open from 11 am to 7 pm.

Temporary drip irrigation cooling station has also been strung up in the Waterfront Park by the path. A temporary drip irrigation cooling station near the playground is also available at Moodyville Park.

The CNV library at 120, 14th West Street is the city’s primary cooling center, is ready to provide cooling space for the community.

The hours are Monday, from 10 am to 5 pm, from Tuesday to Thursday, from 10 am to 8 pm, from Friday to Saturday, from 10 am to 5 pm.

It will also be available on Sunday, from 1 pm to 5 pm.

The North Shore Neighbourhood House is no longer available as a cooling space due to prescheduled programming.
