High-priority steps to be implemented in the first three years include adding new fenced off-leash areas.
October 20, 2022 3:27pm

Dogs and their owners have a new place to play at Lions Gate Village.

A new fenced, leash-optional dog area is now open at the future Belle Isle Park, located within the emerging village centre near Capilano Road and Marine Drive.

The dog park is part of a larger temporary public space for all to enjoy until the permanent Belle Isle Park is complete. The grass area adjacent to the dog park has been seeded and will open in spring 2023, according to the District of North Vancouver.

While enjoying the park, please ensure that your dog is under control at all times and on a leash outside the fenced dog area. The detailed design phase for Belle Isle Park is currently underway.
