West Vancouver’s Gleneagles Adventure Park is set for a major upgrade with three new pickleball courts and a street-style skateboarding area expected to be completed by fall 2026.
The District of West Vancouver Council approved the project at their regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 9, giving the green light to enhance recreational facilities at the popular park.
The $527,710 project will include construction of three regulation-size pickleball courts built to Pickleball BC’s recommended dimensions of 34 feet by 64 feet, along with a new street-style skateboarding area. The existing skate bowl at the park will also receive a fresh coat of paint.
Staff will issue a Design-Build Request for Proposal to handle the design and construction of the new facilities. If bids exceed the allocated budget, staff will return to Council to request additional funding from the Community Amenity Contribution – Community-Serving Reserve. Construction is anticipated to begin this summer, with completion expected in fall 2026.

The new pickleball courts will replace the current bike terrain park. Staff will continue exploring the possibility of building a pump track on BC Hydro land located across from Gleneagles Community Centre and will report their findings to Council at a future date.
As part of the proposal process, contractors will also be asked to provide feasibility assessments and cost estimates for potential roof and lighting options for the facilities.
According to a press release, the improvements are designed to create a multigenerational park space that will enhance recreation opportunities for both youth and adults, providing the local community with expanded gathering and activity options.
