The District of West Vancouver has received a Preliminary Development Proposal for the redevelopment of the property at 2221-2229 Folkestone Way, which currently has the Salmon House on the Hill restaurant and offices.

The proposal includes a new smaller restaurant building and 10 townhome units.

The applicant is hosting a virtual preliminary public information meeting on March 16, 2022, from 5 to 6 p.m., to provide information about the proposal, answer questions, and seek public input.  The style of the development will be West Coast Modern, and the plan includes 10 townhomes and a restaurant on the current site.

The entire site including the townhomes and restaurant will be owned by Folkestone development and will be available for rent when completed.

“There will be minimal view changes, the space will continue to provide ample parking and there will be no change to the road face. This development will be an asset to the community, and will blend into the current Folkestone environment,” the proponent note.

The meeting can be accessed through the Zoom link. This pre-application meeting is not being organised by the District of West Vancouver, though the council may formally consider the proposal at a later date.
