Nine-year-old baseball player Noah Jivraj has advanced to the next round of the national Youth Athlete of the Year competition, a contest that honours young athletes for their skill, dedication, and passion for sport.
The winner will receive a $25,000 prize, a feature in Sports Illustrated, and a national campaign with 3BRAND. To secure the title, Noah is relying on support from the West Vancouver community through daily online voting.
Supporters can vote once every 24 hours for free at athleteoftheyear.org/2025/noah-11ed. Additional paid votes are available, with proceeds supporting the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation, both of which fund youth initiatives and critical health research.
“Noah’s dream is to play baseball at the highest level,” said his father, Rahim Jivraj, in a statement. “This contest gives him an incredible platform — but it will take a community to help him cross the finish line. Every vote counts.”
Noah has been playing baseball since the age of two and now trains daily while competing in youth leagues. Known for his grit and enthusiasm, he has become a standout athlete in West Vancouver, inspiring peers and coaches alike.
Community members are encouraged to vote daily, share Noah’s story with friends and local groups, and consider purchasing additional votes to support both Noah and the partner charities.
